A Friedship Prayer

Help me, O God, to be
A good and true friend.
To be always loyal, and
Never to let my friends down;

Never to talk about them behind
Their backs in a way in which I
Would not do before their faces;
Never to betray a confidence or
Talk about the things about which
I ought to be silent;

Always to be ready to share
Everything I have;
To be as true to my friends
As I would wish them to be to me.
This I ask for the sake of You who are
the greatest and the truest of all friends,
For your love’s sake, Amen.

Prayer For Educational Institutions

Eternal God Bless all schools, colleges, and universities, that they may be lively centers for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom; and grant that those who teach and those who learn may find you to be the source of all truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Respecting one another

God our Father,
you call each of us by name,
and you treasure each of us individually
as though no-one else exists.
Inspire us
to respect and value
each person who comes into our lives this day.
Amen.

I will be busy

O Lord,
you know how busy I must be this day.
If I forget you,
do not forget me.

In time of need

Heavenly Father,in my present need,help me to believe that you are aware of my anxiety and will do what is best for me.Give me the strength to trust you and put the present and future in your hands.Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

For Those Who Are Unemployed

God of compassion, we remember those who suffer want and anxietybecause they have no work. Guide the people of this land to use our wealthso that all may find fulfilling employment and receive just payment for their labour;through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For Confidence

Lord, my Saviour, give me at all times a patient heart, so that I may watch and pray under the cross, and, in trust
and confidence, cast all my cares on you; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and
forever. Amen.
