A Prayer for Visioning

Eternal Father, through the resurrection of Jesus the good news of Your love has touched the world. By our baptism we are reborn as your Children of Light. Through the work of Your Spirit the glory of Your new creation continues to unfold.
Watch over Your family of faith in the Archdiocese of Regina. Inspire us by the prompting of Your Spirit: that our elders may dream new dreams and our youth may find wisdom in visions. Give us a courageous heart, a bold voice and openness of mind, and above all else, ears that listen.
Help us, as Your family, to discover Your way: story telling and dialogue which leads to understanding; ideas which challenge growth; a journey which will bring hope.
We offer you this prayer for you are our life, our strength and guide,Our loving God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer for Family & Friends left at Home

O God, Protector of all people and nations, protect my family and friends at home from the violence and evil of others. Keep them safe from the weapons of hate and destruction and guard them against the deeds of evildoers. Grant them your protection and care in tranquility and peace. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

A Little Christian Humor

Christian Humor...

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering. Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job." So, Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

They moused...

They faxed...

They emailed....

They e-mailed with attachments...

They downloaded...

They did spreadsheets!
They created charts and graphs...

They wrote reports...

They created labels and cards...

They did some genealogy reports...

They did every job known to man...

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency,

and Satan was faster than hell .

Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off!

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.

Jesus just sighed.
Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming: "It's gone! It's all GONE! I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"
God just shrugged and said,

A Child's Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

0 Virgin Mary, My Mother. I give to your Immaculate Heart, my body and my soul, my thoughts and my actions.
I want to be what you want me to be, and do just what you want me to do.
I am not afraid because you are always with me. Help me to love your Son Jesus, with all my heart and above all things.
Take my hand in yours so I can always be with you.

The Good Morning God Prayer

Good Morning God! You are ushering in another day, untouched and freshly new. So here I am to ask you, God, if You'll renew me too.

Forgive the many errors that I made yesterday and let me try again dear God to walk closer in Your way.

But Lord, I am well aware, I can't make it on my own. So take my hand and hold it tight, for I cannot walk alone.

Showers of Blessing - Hymn

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

There shall be showers of blessing:
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we're confessing,
Now, as on Jesus we call.

Chorus:
Showers of blessing,

Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drops around us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

Prayer Of Spouses

Lord Jesus, grant that I and my spouse may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May we always bear with one another's weaknesses and grow from each other's strengths. Help us to forgive one another's failings and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self. May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each passing year. Bring us both ever closer to You through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR HEALING

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal me. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others; touch my heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch my mind with Your Wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs, and help me to lead others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength. Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever.Amen.

Our Lady Of Surprises

O, Mary my mother and Our Lady of surprises,
what a happy joy you caused the wedding guests, when you asked your Divine Son
to work the miracle of water into Wine
What a happy surprise for them, since they
thought the wine had run dry, I too Mary,
love surprises, and as your child,
may I ask you to favour me with one today.
I ask this only because you are
my ever caring Mother, Amen.

Hail Holy Queen:

Hail! Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement! O loving! O sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Prayer to Jesus

O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, take all souls to Heaven, and help especially those most in need of Your mercy.

Glory be to the Father:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Hail Mary:

Hail Mary, full of grace! the Lord is with thee; blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Our Father:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son, Our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

The First Saturday Pledge

Responding to the words of Our Lady of Fatima who said "To prevent this (i.e that various nations will be annihilated) I shall come to ask for Communions of reparation on the first Saturday of the month." I hereby pledge, in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to go to Confession and Communion, to say the Rosary, and to spend fifteen minutes meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary on five consecutive first Saturdays.

I will also be open to first Friday-Saturday vigils, and to receiving Communion often in reparation to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
